I may miss some landscape around myself. There are lots of beauty, and lots of things which deserve to observe closer.

Introduction

To start my private blog, I would like to provide my personal information for your convenience. Greetings. My name is Kyung-Hoon Kim, whose English name is Harold (Harry). Once I was Daniel, but I decided to exchange cuz there are so many Daniels in Korea. I am a doctoral student of Department of Bioengineering at the University of Washington. Thus I live in Seattle now, enjoying the rainy atmosphere and some kind of feeling like stranger (and actually I am). I started my PhD track since September 2017, and I'm struggling pretty much since I have no experience about the life of Statesman. I received my master's degree and bachelor's degree in the Chemical Engineering, from KAIST and Korea University respectively. My concentration in undergraduate school was biological engineering and science, and my major was microfluidic cellular engineering (particularly molecular delivery) which was published in Small 2015. After my graduation, I joined Nanobio Application T...

Seattle Blues #1: Don't be arrogant.

Since I believe that I am well-trained researcher compared to same-level-researcher who hold master's degree, and just got entered in doctoral course, I think I might be arrogant pretty much. I know I had a hard and intensive days in KAIST for two years, and got qualified knowledge and methodology for another two years in NNFC. But I can remind that I was not such intensive person in the very end of my Korean days, almost half of the years in 2017.  Yesterday, I recognized that this is not a chemical engineering!!!!!!!!! It was totally BioE!! I could never understood the terms given in the lecture, particularly focused on protein folding, aggregation, and relevant topics. However, in contrast to me, my another group members were able to understand and even they could discuss with each other, without any trouble or hardships. Among four members, I even felt somewhat lonely. Yeah. Finally I realized that I was very arrogant. Since I had multiple research experience, I unconsci...
